RCS Board Votes to Lower Tuition

The Riverview Christian School Board held a special meeting on March 24th to discuss tuition rates for the 2017-18 school year.  Board president Ben Peterson called the meeting to order with the following members present: Paul Baker, Paul Chard, Jason Holdren, and Greg Furman. After receiving feedback from parents and the community the board decided that it needed to address the issue before the upcoming school year. Paul Chard moved to change the tuition from the current sliding scale to a flat amount of $250 per student per month.  The motion was seconded and after much debate the board voted to accept the motion for the 2017-18 school year.  The meeting was then closed in prayer.

With the tuition rate approved, Riverview Christian is now accepting early enrollment for the 2017-18 school year for grades kindergarten through eighth.  Transportation is also available to the Brush and Fort Morgan areas for a fee.  RCS is willing to serve other areas such as Wiggins, Sterling, Akron, etc. if there are enough students from that area to make it cost effective.

Riverview Christian School is a non-denominational, private Christian school located between Brush and Fort Morgan.  Founded in 1976, Riverview Christian’s mission is to unite as a community of believers in educating our children by offering a rigorous curriculum in a traditional, Christ centered learning environment.

Class sizes are limited, so early enrollment is encouraged.  For more information, contact the school at 970-842-4604.

Merry Christmas!

We have had a busy fall here at Riverview Christian!

We are pleased to welcome Shanda Hall to our staff as our new secretary!  She is a true blessing from God and we look forward to working with her this year!

Our Thanksgiving Dinner & Program was a success!  The students worked very hard to memorize scripture, poems, and educational facts to share along with some great songs!  The parent committee did an awesome job with the “Taco Bar” dinner that was served to all of our family and friends.  It was a great day!

The students have been very involved with the community this month.  They performed at the Christmas Open House for the Bank of Colorado, Brush on Friday the 2nd of December.  They also went Christmas caroling on the 8th at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.  Saturday the 10th they performed their Christmas Program at Cowboy Bible Church in Brush.  They loved being out in the community and we love to serve our community in many ways!

Thursday, December 15 will be our annual Soup Supper and Christmas Program at the RCS gymnasium.  The supper will begin at 5:30 pm with chili and chicken noodle soup being served for only $5.00 a person.  The program will begin at 7:00 pm.  If you only want to see the program there is no charge.  The students have worked very hard and are excited to present “the Reading of the Christmas Story”.

The last day of school will be Friday when all of the classes have their Christmas parties.  Everyone looks forward to the class Christmas party!

As we end out 2016 we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!  As we start 2017 we would ask you to pray for increased enrollment at our school as we wish you all a Happy New Year!

God Bless!
