Riverview Christian School took a field trip to the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO on Tuesday, October 7. The students learned about different animals that God created to be wild. “The Wild Animal Sanctuary is the oldest and largest nonprofit Sanctuary in the US dedicated exclusively to rescuing captive exotic and endangered large carnivores, providing them with a wonderful life for as long as they live, and educating about the tragic plight faced by an estimated 30,000 such animals in America today.”by Sally

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
1 John 4:7-8 ESV
Valentine’s Day was celebrated with lots of love at Riverview Christian. The students participated in many activities throughout the day and a fun time was had by all. Valentine’s Day serves as a reminder of God’s great love for us and how we are to love others. How can you show God’s love to others everyday?by Sally
A new year means new changes!
One of many changes at Riverview Christian is the addition of a new administrator/principal. We are very excited to add Greg Furman to the Riverview Christian family! We say thank you to Michelle Miller for all of her years of dedication to the school and we wish her many blessings on her new business endeavors. We also congratulate Paul and Sharon Baker on their marriage and look forward to Paul’s service as a board member.
Changes to the board of education: Mike Boone is the new president of the school board with Jason Holdren as the secretary/treasurer. Additional board members are Paul Baker, Keith Miller, Ben Peterson, and Greg Furman (ex-officio member).
Although we were safe from the flood of the South Platte River, we were not safe from the flood of the drinking fountain water line. The line froze the week before Christmas break and proceeded to flood the entire office/primary building. Temporary classrooms and office have been made in the gym. There is a lot of work to be done and many decisions to be made as to the future of these classrooms and the office. Please pray for those who have to make these decisions and that God will lead in any decision made for the school.by Sally
